a word of advice with yellow flowers
yellow flowers often make for great platonic flowers. however, i seriously beg of you to never give them to a lover. i do not believe in crystals, i do not believe in astrology but if you give your partner a yellow rose or carnation i fear for you both. yellow carnations, in flower language, mean resentment. yellow roses on the other hand, often express platonic love (beautiful, stunning, love to see it)... and romantic rejection. be careful. also, buttercups are poisonous and gifting them to a partner, while not always, can be an indicator of um... death? oh, and not to mention that yellow hyacinths mean envy! haha. be careful with yellow. go for red, white, or certain blue flowers if you want to indicate romance. if you must, sunflowers are a great and safe option, meaning devotion and optimism.
